The Department of Fashion and Design aims to cultivate professionals who possess aesthetic sensibility and integrated design competence in fashion. Department Overview

The Department of Fashion and Design is dedicated to nurturing students with professional knowledge and practical skills in fashion and design. The curriculum focuses on developing students’ creative thinking and professional competence in fashion trends. It integrates industry needs with practice-oriented learning, covering areas such as textile design, apparel design and production, functional clothing design, bag design, footwear design, and jewelry and accessory design—cultivating students’ ability to combine aesthetics with technical expertise.

Through diverse practical courses and off-campus internships, the department strengthens students’ professional abilities and fosters their awareness and capacity for lifelong learning. By continuously developing professional and technical talents aligned with industry trends and demands, the department seeks to gain recognition and trust from the fashion industry, becoming a vital talent cultivation and innovation base for the field.

 

Curriculum Design and Development Framework

  1. Foundational Courses

Courses include textile materials, basic design, apparel construction and practice, applied color theory, industry forums, and luxury goods design, providing students with a solid professional foundation.

  1. Specialized and Advanced Courses

Courses such as dyeing design and production, textile design and production, digital fashion design, metal craft design and applications, apparel design, functional clothing production, fashion bag design and applications, and footwear design applications enhance students’ practical design and production skills.

  1. Integrated Practice and Internship Courses

Courses include fashion design and presentation projects, new materials and applied design, functional apparel design, jewelry craft design and creation, luxury bag design and production, fashion footwear design and applications, and off-campus internships. These courses enable students to integrate their professional learning through project-based and team-based experiences, achieving a seamless transition from academic training to industry employment.
